Alan Charles "Al" Jardine (born September 3, 1942 in Lima, Ohio) is a founding member of the Beach Boys, their occasional lead vocalist, and one of their guitarists.
Jardine's song "Lady Lynda", a rewrite of "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring", was one of the band's biggest hits outside the USA.
Jardine left the touring version of the Beach Boys in 1998 after Carl Wilson died of lung cancer.

When Al left the park, I didn't see him taking anything with him, which makes me think this guitar was not his own.
Al actually just told us "I'll sit down here and let me know when you're ready to take the photo." Al's wife helped us figure out what was going wrong with the camera (the flash was getting blocked from popping up), and we got some shots.

The court's refusal to hear Jardine's appeal leaves in place an earlier ruling that only singer Mike Love is entitled to use the group name.
