Al-Muhsin concludes that the eclipse of Nawal al-Sadawi--the famed Egyptian psychologist, author, novelist, activist, and feminist-- is caused by her mixture of reality and fiction in order to entertain Western readers, who for some time relied on her work as major sources about Arab women.
Al Marnissi, al-Muhsin continues, has been gradually emerging on the international stage as an advocate of Arab feminism, also combining reality and fiction.
But al-Mushin appears to diminish the importance of the controversy by focusing on the central question, that is the importance of knowledge as opposed to the entity contributing the knowledge.

Muhsin Al-Aini did not say anything beyond what he has put down in print, in his book “50 Years Amidst Shifting Sands”, which now has an English Edition (translated by this humble columnist), yet the self proclaimed writers in defense of the nation were almost ready to scream: “treason”.
It doesn’t matter that these quick slinging critics have nothing to rest on to allow themselves to be critical of such a person as Muhsin Al-Aini, because he spoke out against the excesses of most of the Arab Revolutionary regimes that were supposed to liberate their people from the oppression of autocratic traditional regimes.
I think that is what Muhsin Al-Aini aspired to do by relating so many interesting situations, we never knew occurred and the behind the scenes description of how our leaders behaved as human beings and not the semi-gods that the public media tirelessly tries to project them as.

The U.S. Treasury Department has designated Kuwaiti national Muhsin al-Fadhli as a supporter of terrorism for his activities in connection with al-Qaida and with the Iraqi-based terrorist network of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
Muhsin al-Fadhli was designated under Executive Order 13224 for providing financial and material support to the al-Zarqawi Network and al Qaida.  The U.S. is submitting al-Fadhli to the United Nations 1267 Committee, which will consider adding him to the consolidated list of terrorists tied to al-Qaida, Usama bin Laden and the Taliban.
Inclusion on the 1267 Committee's list triggers international obligations on all member countries, requiring them to freeze the assets and prevent the travel of listed individuals and to block the sale of arms and military equipment.  Publicly identifying these supporters of terrorism is a critical part of the international campaign to counter terrorism.
