Adil abd al Karim al Kawwaz was driving home from his in-laws' house in Baghdad one night in August with his wife and four kids.

Iran says it has Al Qaeda leaders
Iran's government has long said Al Qaeda operatives are in its prisons, but this was the first word that some prisoners held high positions in Osama bin Laden's network -- blamed for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and for suicide bombings this year at Western housing complexes in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Interior Minister Abdolvahed Mousavi Lari said Wednesday some Al Qaeda members would be tried in Iran, some extradited to their countries of origin and others deported to the country they entered Iran from.
The Bush administration said it could not confirm Yunesi's comments and questioned whether Al Qaeda members in Iran were in prison or being harbored by the government.

 Analisi

The Alhambra (a redundant expression, since "al" already means "the") survives out of its time as a living fossil of Islâmic Spain -- with its name transported to a city in Southern California, where at least the climate is similar.
The Shî'a, or "Faction" of 'Alî held that he was the proper Successor to the Prophet and that only his descendants qualified for the office.
The light blue nimbus for 'Alî indicates the Shi'ite belief that he and his descendants were divinely inspired and authoritative also (the Imâms).

Al-Haq, an Afghan national who was born circa 1960 in the Nangahar province, is said to be the security coordinator for bin Laden.

Al-Ahram Weekly International Rounding up Al-Qa'eda
In related news, Canadian authorities arrested Adil Charkaoui, 30, a Montreal resident and Moroccan national, on the grounds that he is considered a threat to national security.
Britain, the US, Germany and Australia issued a warning that Al- Qa'eda member Fazul Abdullah Mohamed, believed to have been involved in the 1998 bombings of the US embassies in Nairobi and Dar Al-Salaam, had entered Kenya and may be planning more attacks.
Although the Bush administration may have struck at the base of the Al-Qa'eda organisation in Afghanistan, the attacks in Riyadh and Casablanca suggest that the threat from Al-Qa'eda is not over and that the network remains a global threat.

But during the reign of the third Suri ruler, Mohammad Adil Suri, the governor of Bengal (appointed during the reign of Islam Shah) Muhammad Shah Ghazi declared independence and Bengal regained its independent status.
Sher Shah inscribed the Kalima and 'as Sultan al Adil' (the just Sultan) and the names of the four pious Khalifas on the obverse of his coins.
An early medieval Tibetan text and the account of al Marvazi (1142 AD) leave impressions of the use of this 'dust currency' in pure silver and/or gold in Bengal.

The stated purpose for this dinner is to raise money for Democratic candidates in 2006, but it’s also the first time we’ve seen Al Gore politically back in his home state in some time.
The company’s identity, Brewster-Jennings & Associates, became public because it appeared in Federal Election Commission records on a form filled out in 1999 by Valerie Plame, the case officer at the center of the controversy, when she contributed $1,000 to Al Gore’s presidential primary campaign.
The leak of a CIA operative’s name has also exposed the identity of a CIA front company, potentially expanding the damage caused by the original disclosure, Bush administration officials said yesterday.

And me. After a sumptuous tea, three long speeches were delivered with my life and times as the subject matter, an embarrassing process and I wondered what the Malek[?] al 'Adil, the pious founder, would have thought of it.
He has grown immensely rich, chiefly by smuggling goods out of Mesopotamia and selling them for immense sums here during the war - he is said to be worth « a million, and I really can't regret it though we tried vainly to stop the process all the time I was in Baghdad.
I knew him before and there's little he doesn't know about the town; the next on Shaikh Muhammad al Bassam who used to help me whenever I wanted to buy camels or engage servants to travel in the desert.
