Al Mansurah ( Arabic منصورة) is considered to be Egyptian "fourth city" after Cairo, Alexandria and Port Said.
It is a relatively new city, built in 1280 after the Muslims defeated the Crusaders on its land during the Seventh Crusade (therefore leading to the name Mansurah —"Victorious").

 Shobak
Some of the villages in Shobak are Abu Makhtoub (village of the Habahbeh tribe), Al Mgar’iyeh, Al-Juhayer, Al Mansourah (originally known as Al Khraybeh), Al Jayeh, Tor Abu Ras, Al Fajij, Najl and many new modern developments.
Al Jayeh, for instance, lies in the valley immediately southeast of the castle and is connected to the village of Abu Makhtoub by dwellings strung along the mountainside.
There is a great contrast between the architecture of the villages of Al Shobak, which still belongs to the typical mountain village architecture, and the town of Ma’an just 35 km south-southeast of Al Shobak.

There are three archaeological sites in Al Mughsil with traces of ancient walls, tombs and mosques.

"The one battle which one can be proud of is the 'Air Battle of Mansourah' in which the EAF successfully defended their Air-base!"
Among the other Muslim countries airforce, the one which impresses me most is the Egyptian Airforce' and i think as compared to other Arab airforces the Egyptian Airforce performed well against Israel airforce in arab-israel wars.
