General Sir Alan Gordon Cunningham, GCMG, KCB, DSO, MC (1 May 1887 - 30 January 1983) was a British Army officer, noted for victories over Italian forces in the East African Campaign during World War II.
In 1937 Cunningham became the commander of the 1st Division of Royal Artillery.
After World War II finished, Cunningham, who was promoted to General in 1945, returned to the Middle East as High Commissioner of the Palestine; he served in the position from 1945 to 1948.

Cunningham was Commander-in-Chief, Mediterranean from 1939 to 1942, and in 1943.
Cunningham was also involved in many significant naval encounters, most notably an aircraft carrier launched attack on the Italian fleet at Taranto, destroying one Italian battleship and seriously damaging two others.
Cunningham was made Allied naval commander Expeditionary Force under General Eisenhower in 1942, and served as First Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Staff from 1943-6.

Sir Alan Gordon Cunningham (1st May 1887 - 30th January 1983) was a British Army officer noted for victories over Italian forces in the East African Campaign during World War II.
Six weeks later on 20th May in collaboration with General Sir William Platt's men, he took the surrender, at Amba Alagi, of the Italian Army led by Amadeo di Savoia, Duke d'Aosta.
His immediate task was to lead General Sir Claude Auchinleck's Libyan Desert offensive which began on 18th November.

I have been able to add 6 additional signatures.
This modified image includes a signature representing every flight between Alan Shepard's Mecury shot in 1961 through the first Space Shuttle flight 20 years later, with the sole exception of Gus Grissom's Liberty Bell 7 Mercury flight in July of 1961.
