		In 1989, composer Alan Menken, along with his lyricist Howard Ashman, brought back the idea of musicals to the movies and reinvigorated the animated film with their memorable scores for Disney.

		The fireworks and jig sequence (which is the most visually beautiful section in the film) is remarkable, as is the "Tour of the Kingdom." The finale is a reprise of Part of Your World, and it builds up to the typical choral Menken ending.
		Whereas the score has been done better by Alan Menken in the years following, the songs are arguably the best of those in Disney's 1990s animated features.
