Alanna of Trebond is the main character in Tamora Pierce's first quartet Song of the Lioness.
Alanna disguises herself as a boy and trades places with her twin brother Thom and is able to undertake the training required to be a page in the palace under the disguise of "Alan".
Alanna appears in The Immortals quartet, in the Protector of the Small quartet and again briefly in the "Trickster" books.
