	String quartet
		A string quartet is a group of four string musical instruments or a piece written to be performed by such a group.
		Although any combination of string instruments may be called a "string quartet", in practice, the term almost always refers to a group consisting of two violins, one viola and one cello.
		Indeed, he is often referred to as "the father of the string quartet" (as well as being called "the father of the symphony").

	London String Quartet Foundation
		The Formosa Quartet was formed in 2002 when four outstanding young musicians came together for a concert tour of Taiwan, the land of their shared heritage.
		The quartet was also awarded first prize in the Royal Overseas League chamber music competition, and is currently giving performances around the UK as part of both the Tillett Trust Young Artists' Platform and the Tunnell Trust schemes.
		The Quartet is tutored principally by William Hennessy, the founding member of the Australian String Quartet and the Melba String Quartet.

		The Alberni String Quartet was formed more than thirty years ago at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
		Rapport and long experience on the concert platform give the quartet an understanding and musical wisdom unusual among performers, qualities which the members of the quartet now share with their students at the Royal Academy of Music.
