Albert Crocker (1882 â€" 1961) was the founder of Crocker Motorcycles, and an inventor of many motorcycles, he had a substantial effect on the motorcycle and racing business.
Crocker was born in 1882 and graduated from Armour Institute, part of Northwestern University, with an engineering degree.
Crocker's personal life was to be deeply affected by the 1911 incident in which racer Eddy Hasha was killed.

The Crocker Motorcycle Company was an American manufacturer of single-cylinder speedway racing motorcycles from 1932, powerful V-twin road motorcycles from 1936, and the "Scootabout," one of the first modern styled motor scooters, in the late 1930s.
Many Crockers were manufactured to order and the largest of them were known to have had a 91+ cubic inch engine (about 1491 cc), and was the largest-capacity "production" motorcycle until the Yamaha XV1600A took the title in 1998.
Crocker Motorcycle Company was started by Markus Karalash in his garage in 1997 for the purpose of producing parts for the restoration community.

The first Crocker to occupy Ashcombe Farm in the parish of Wayford, Somerset.
The church is still being used, and there is a plaque on the wall with the Lord's Prayer and the Church Wardens' names on the bottom, George Crocker being one of them.
He was in partnership with W.H. Moyle as Moyle and Crocker, aerated water and cordial manufacturers.

In 1999 the current company was registered as a provider of replacement parts for restorers of original Crocker motorcycles, and has built up the operation to the point of being able to supply a complete motorcycle in kit form.

While some parts were obtained by Albert Crocker from Indian and Harley dealers, it is not true that the guts of the bike was a combination of Indian and Hog parts.
Crocker, seeing the writing on the wall, approached Indian about buying the rights to his engine for use in Chiefs.
As is typical of the Indian management of the 1940's, and Indian's own failing finances, they turned their noses up at a golden opportunity and looked a gift horse in the mouth, just as they did in 1949 when they had the chance to power new Chiefs with Vincent engines.

They were moving to a new larger warehouse a couple of suburbs away from their previous premises and were also creating a retail/wholesale sales and display area at the back of the new head office and warehouse complex.
The new warehouse store offered Albert Crocker and Son to create service and retail brand extension to their existing wholesale supply business.
The idea was to re-brand "Crockers" the existing name with the rather long winded but descriptive "Hospitality 2000 by Albert Crocker and Son Pty Ltd", mainly so that they could eventually "own" the word "Hospitality" in the industry; this has in fact happened.

In the book, "The First Twenty Five Years of Troop One In East Hartford, Connecticut (1910 to 1935)," author Albert R. Crocker reported that John L. Alexander, Managing Secretary for the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), spoke at the Congregational Church in New Britain in the Fall of 1910.
On October 14, 1910, National Headquarters of BSA issued certificate number 447 to Reverend William Carlos Prentiss as "Scoutmaster of the Second Troop of the City of East Hartford." A. Crocker's research revealed that "certificates 1 to 100 were reserved for Scout Commissioners; also twenty-three (23) of the 447 numbers were not issued.
A Crocker went on to write that the first troop in Connecticut was organized about a month earlier in Hartford by Dr. Snyder of the Hartford YMCA.
