The younger brother of Percy and Jimmy Heath, Albert "Tootie" Heath has long been a top hard bop-based drummer with an open mind toward more commercial styles of jazz.
Albert Heath was with J.J. Johnson's group (1958-1960) and the Jazztet (1960-1961), worked with the trios of Cedar Walton and Bobby Timmons in 1961, and recorded many records as a sideman for Riverside during that era.
He lived in Europe in 1965-1968 (working frequently with Kenny Drew, Dexter Gordon, and backing touring Americans), and, after returning to the U.S., he played regularly with Herbie Hancock's sextet (1968-1969) and Yusef Lateef (1970-1974).

In July 1831 Lt.-Gen. Duff was succeeded in the colonelcy of the regiment by Lt.-Gen Sir John Hamilton Dalrymple (afterwards Earl of Stair).
The Gordon Highlanders embarked at Calcutta for England in two detachments on the 24th and 28th of January 1863, respectively, and rejoined at Gosport on the 20th of May. This was the first time the regiment had been quartered in England since the 22nd of August 1816.
It is unnecessary to say that in all its public appearances, and at all inspections while in Scotland, as elsewhere, the Gordon Highlanders received, and that deservedly, the highest encomiums on their appearance, discipline, and conduct.

Hamilton is a mostly rural town in Madison County, near the geographic center of New York State.
A 1985 genealogy of the descendants of Peter HOLMES of Farmersville by Hermia Hallauer Gordon ([Gordon]), who examined the stone when it was readable, says the year was 1850, and Nathan was 83.
From a comparison of the names near Jabez's in the 1855-1860 censuses with those shown on an 1853 map of Hamilton, it's clear Jabez must have lived in or near Poolville at that time; and he is said to be a resident of Poolville in an 1864 newspaper report of his daughter's marriage.
