If you drive from Thusis towards Davos and passed already the small village Tiefencastel, you will find the entry into the Albula pass road on the right hand side, just behind the railway crossing of the Rhaeti railway.
In easy curves, always following the track of the railway the pass gains slowly altitude in the lower section.
The south side road is wider, clearer and in a good condition.
