Other notable lines are the Zittau-Oybin-Jonsdorf line in Saxony, the Mollibahn and the Rügensche Kleinbahn on the Isle of Rügen on the Baltic coast and the Radebeul-Radeburg line in the suburbs of Dresden.
As of 2006, the former HEandWT main line was still in operation by the Union Pacific Railroad, the Southern Pacific's successor, and the line is still known as the "Rabbit Line" in honor of the popular nickname of the HEandWT.
However four common carrier lines (Wangaratta-Whitfield; Upper Ferntree Gully-Gembrook; Colac-Beech Forest, and then extended to Crowes, which at 70 km (43 miles) made it the longest of Victoria's NG lines; and Moe-Walhalla) were built to the 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) narrow-gauge standard, to serve local farming and forestry communities.

With many of the larger trailable yachts from the Albury Wodonga Yacht Club (AWYC) competing at the Victorian trailable yacht titles at Geelong, remaining skippers and crews took advantage of the excellent conditions in a Teams regatta, with four short races due to be sailed in the morning and two in the afternoon.
Albury Wodonga Yacht Club has made a strong start to its defence of the Sail Inland trophy it won earlier this year after a win in the first round of the 2004-2005 series sailed on Lake Hume yesterday Sunday 17 October.

Albury is not a tourist destination, so although Easter will be slightly busier than normal, there should be no difficulty in finding accommodation at a price to suit everybody's budget.
Albury (New South Wales, and its twin city Wodonga in Victoria) is located on the Hume Highway, some 320km from Melbourne and 570 km from Sydney.
Of course, as Albury is on the Hume Highway, most interstate bus companies pass through the city on their way between Melbourne and Sydney.

Age range in the men's line up are across the board with Ben Tifan 32, who has represented in the Australian Country level, with the youngest player Rohan Romeyn who is only 15 years but has represented at state in the ACT under 20s team.
The Victorian Tigers team's line up is most impressive with Luke Gavin, know as the Òdynamic left handerÓ who is currently the second highest goal scorer in the National League competition along with current A. scholarship holder Stephen Lewis.

Albury Wodonga Soccer Association Incorporated was formed in 1973 and traded as Soccer Albury Wodonga for a short period before changing to come in line with national directive of (soccer) football in Australia and will be now so named the "ALBURY WODONGA FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION" which was passed at the Annual General meeting 11th December 2005.
Both Albury United and Wodonga Border remained in the North Eastern Victoria League to fulfil their 1973 commitments, after which they both joined the new association at the start of the 1974 season along with the newly formed, Albury City, to make up an eight team league.
Soccer Albury Wodonga teams have enjoyed considerable success at all higher levels of competition.

Stripped of rails and sleepers the old railway line now provides a unique recreational trail for walkers, cyclists and horse riding enthusiasts who want to enjoy a breath of fresh air in a tranquil countryside setting.
The High Country Rail Trail is an old railway line steeped in history dating back to 1887, providing rail services from Wodonga to Cudgewa until 1978, and was used extensively for transporting material for the Snowy Mountain Scheme in the 1960's.

At Albury Airport an area of tarmac was used for the speed events, scale flying, and racing events allergic to grass.
Some very attractive models were entered, but none flew with kind of abitity demonstrated by some of the control line aerobatics experts.
