Alec James Stewart OBE (born 8 April 1963 in Merton, Surrey) is a retired English cricketer, a right-handed batsman-wicketkeeper and former captain of the English cricket team.
He is also the younger son of a former English Test cricketer, Micky Stewart.
Stewart is a well-known supporter of Surrey County Cricket Club and Chelsea F.C. Scored his highest Test score, 190, against Pakistan in the first Edgbaston Test on 4th June 1992 - a match that was drawn.

Alexander Christie Stewart was born in Edinburgh on June 21 1955, one of five children of Lt-Col Sir Robert Stewart, Lord Lieutenant of Clackmannan from 1994 to 2001.
Alec was brought up on the 3,000-acre family estate, Arndean, by Dollar in Clackmannanshire, and as a boy he revelled in country life.
