	Editions Alecto history
		Editions Alecto was started by a group of Oxford and Cambridge undergraduates in the late 1950's and was incorporated in 1962.
		Alecto's first major publication was David Hockney's Rake's Progress, and during the 1960's and 1970's Alecto went on to produce original print portfolios with over 100 British and American artists, including such luminaries as Jim Dine, Allen Jones, Eduardo Paolozzi, Claes Oldenburg and George Segal.
		Alecto has a distinguished pedigree and in three decades of printing and publishing special editions has developed considerable skills in translating works on paper into print form of the highest quality, using whatever print process is deemed most appropriate.
