Alejandro Campos Ramírez (known as Alexandre de Fisterra and Alejandro Finisterre) is a poet, inventor (of table football among other things) and editor.
Finisterre was injured by the fascist bombings of Madrid during the Spanish civil war.
Although the invention was patented in 1937, Finisterre had to escape to France from the fascist coup d'etat, and he lost the patent papers in a storm.

While "Finisterre" is likeable and listenable, it's all familiar, comfortable territory for a band which always seemed to enjoy sampling an eclectic diet of musical genres on its past albums.
I expected Finisterre to be the album that would change the opinions of many who held previous Saint Etienne records in high regard.
Finisterre has some great songs on it, but none of them manage to capture the spirit, atmosphere and emotion of previous efforts.

Palindromes was my introduction to the very particular world of Todd Solondz and I came away much impressed by both the man and his film.
I can see how it might be theoretically possible to make a film more unlike The Others than The Sea Inside but it would require a lot of dedication and hard work.

Hi friends, here is some info I´ve found about these ships.
San Rafael was an 80 guns built in La Habana in 1771, almost surely following Jorge Juan´s system (known in Spain as "a la inglesa"), it was taken by the RN in combat off Finisterre in july 1805 when Villeneuve squadron was about to enter Ferrol.
William James´ "Naval history og G. Britain" says she carried 88 when taken.
