Aleka Papariga (Greek: Αλέκα Παπαρήγα) (born 1945) is a communist Greek politician who has served the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) as its general secretary, since 1991.
Papariga has graduated from the historical-Archeological Section of the Philosophy Faculty of Athens University.
Papariga is a member of the CC of CPG since the 10th Congress (May 1978) and of the CC PB since 1986.

Papariga said the exchange of experiences around the matter of the Communist Movement on a national and international level and the necessity to actively show solidarity to the peoples of Cuba and Venezuela was the purpose of her visit.
According to Papariga it concerns a procedure which is marked by "deep antagonisms and contradictions." She said the proce-dure is propped by President Hugo Chavez and by popular movements.
However, Papariga observed that in Venezuela "the reactions are also reorganised, the internal reaction with the help of the United States and other forces of imperialism with the exclusive objective of foreign intervention." She predicted that the clash between the two forces will be unavoidable.

Communist Party of Greece (KKE) Secretary General Aleka Papariga, speaking in an interview with a private TV station on Friday, called on the Greek people to "systematically resist, claim and change political orientations".
Commenting on a recent opinion poll which gives her party 8 percent of the vote, Papariga said that the influence of KKE is far greater and stressed that the party's recovery will come from the younger ages.
Papariga expressed support for a heating oil subsidy being provided for poorer people, but added that for KKE there is the possibility of the price of oil falling in general and noted that "in general, we support the abolition of V.A.T. on commodities of wide popular consumption."
