Whilst it is generally acknowledged that all three members of RUSH are exceptionally creative with their respective instruments; guitarist Alex Lifeson, (The founder member of Rush) for some indistinct reason has been dissolutely undervalued within the nucleus by too numerous of persons - predominantly the dreaded "rock critics".
Some folk found this difficult to pronounce and so Alex respectfully changed (although not officially) it to "Lifeson", which is evidently much easier for his up-and-coming fanbase to spell and narrate.
Alex began experimenting with the guitar at the tender and susceptible age of 11 when his parents bought him a $11.00/£4.50 Kent Acoustic for Christmas, following his ill-fated attempt to master the violin - although this was soon to be replaced with a more expensive Japanese e-guitar.

Alex Zivojinovich is accused by deputies of pushing a female deputy down the stairwell, causing her injury.

Lifeson, born Alex Zivojinovich, is being countersued by two deputies who claim the guitarist attacked them as they were trying to escort Lifeson’s son, Justin Zivojinovich, from the party at the hotel’s request.
Lifeson and Zivojinovich, however, claim they were injured and unnecessarily subdued with a stun gun during the arrest, and that the police officers were the aggressive parties in the altercation.
