Lord Balfour of Burleigh, in the County of Kinross, is a title in the Peerage of Scotland.
The fifth Lord was attainted in 1715 for his role in the Jacobite rebellion of that year.
In 1869 the attainder was reversed by Act of Parliament in favour of Alexander Hugh Bruce, a prominent Conservative politician.

His influence within the party was out of all proportion to his office of Attorney General for Ireland, and continued to grow after he lost office with the defeat of the Conservatives at the general election of 1880.
