Within the original national parks, those "historic" objects overwhelmingly were fences and gates used to control grazing, ditches and other structures to effect irrigation, or cabins used by hunters, foresters, and recreationists prior to the creation of a unit.
The National Park System of the United States is the world’s largest, both in the number of units (375 as of June 1997) and in total land area.
The lands of Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) were originally reserved as a national forest and were only later made a national park, in 1915.

There is the Alexander Morrison National Park 30 km south east of the town which is a sandplain with low lateritic breakaways.
Stockyard Gully, 15 km southwest of Eneabba, is notable for its caves and caverns and Tathra National Park, 20 km east of the town, lies on the edge of the wheatbelt.
The major mining company in the area is Iluka Resources Ltd. Eneabba is basically a service town for the mines but some of the miners, realising that Eneabba is hardly a paradise, have opted for commuting and live on the coast at Leeman and drive to work preferring the beach to the dry inland.

 Walkabout - Coorow
About 50 km to the west of the town is the Alexander Morrison National Park which is noted for its spectacular wildflower displays which occur in the spring.
Located 262 km north of Perth on the Midlands Road, Coorow is a typical northern wheatbelt town with a tiny service centre which includes a hotel, a caravan park, a single main street and the inevitable bulk handling grain silos and railway line.
The Coorow area was first settled in 1852 when William and Sara Long arrived in the district.

Yellowstone Park Company continued to operate in Yellowstone National Park until the United States Government purchased all associated property of the company and their lease to operate was terminated in 1980.
Secondly, the management of parks by the military was not considered to be a permanent solution to the preservation of the national parks.
The significance of the records lies not only in the fact that Yellowstone was the first national park and as such was the site of much pioneering in policy and philosophy, but also that it was the longest-lived example of a unique experiment: the military administration of the national parks.

Pike found the area of present-day Great Sand Dunes National Monument in Colorado and the headwaters of the Rio Grande, which he mistakenly thought was the Red River.
