He chaired the panel on Nineteenth-Century Russian Literature and served as discussant at the Southern Conference on Slavic Studies in Asheville in April, 1996.
In June he lectured in Hungarian on "Social Functions of Literature: Alexander Pushkin and Russian Culture" at the Institute of Literary Studies, Hungarian Academy of Sciences and Letters, Budapest.
Since 1974 she has been the editor of the Hungarian Section of Twayne World Authors Series and among the works published in the series is her own volume Sándor Petofi (1980).
