Sir Alexander Ramsay, (29 May1881-8 October 1972 was a British naval officer who was the husband of Princess Patricia of Connaught, the youngest child of the Duke of Connaught, third son of Queen Victoria.
Ramsay rose to the rank of Commander in late 1914 and became flag commander of the Second Squadron in 1916.
On 27 February 1919, the then-Captain Ramsay married Princess Patricia of Connaught at Westminster Abbey, in the presence of the entire British Royal Family.

Sir Alexander was killed at the Battle of Dupplin in 1332 and his three younger brothers were killed at the Battle of Halidon Hill in 1333.
His son, Sir William Fraser of Cowie, was killed at the Battle of Durham in 1346, and in 1375 his grandson, Sir Alexander Fraser of Cowie and Durris, acquired the Manor Place (later to become Cairnbulg Castle) and lands of Philorth by marriage with Lady Joanna, younger daughter and co-heiress of the Earl of Ross.
His son, Alexander, Master of Saltoun, born 1921, served in the Grenadier Guards and was killed in action in 1944.
