 | | Alianza Dominicana, Inc.'s Conjunto Folkorico is a group of forty youths aged 6 to 22 who are being trained in Dominican folk dance, Dominican carnival, ring games and other popular expressive traditions. |
 | | The Conjunto trains in and performs traditional social dances, including Merengue, Pambiche, Valse, Polka, Mazurka, Chivo Samanés, Sarambo, and Merengue Redondo, and sacred or semi-sacred dances: Salves (altar music of saints' festivals) and Palos (long-drum dance) as well as regional variants of Palos, such as the Congos of Villa Mella and the Sarandunga of Baní. |
