Ellen Alice Terry (February 27, 1847 – July 21, 1928) was an English stage actress.
She was born Alice Ellen, but she had reversed her names by the time of her first marriage.
Ellen Terry should not be confused with Charles Dickens' mistress Ellen Ternan, also an actress, who was a few years her senior.

Alice, being the girl, is more expressive during their developing relationship, yelling, harrumphing, crying, where Terry’s got that stoic guy-adrenaline junkie thing going on, which makes him the ideal object of her desire — solidly masculine, but also seeking that special woman who might inspire him to settle down.

Suspense and tension is built through edits that depict Terry and Alice anxiously recording their calls with the guerrillas while we catch glimpses of scared Peter injured and held captive in the mountains.
Moreover, Alice is too angry (at the situation, at Peter and at herself) to seem all that interested in having an affair with Terry, who is way too stoic and emotionally repressed to display any kind of real feelings for her.
