Molik was born in Adelaide, Australia, and currently lives in Melbourne.
Molik won the bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens in the women's singles competition.

Molik, who was given a US Open wildcard by Tennis Australia, called Kilderry on to court during her singles losses to Golovin and also last week to Pole Marta Domachowska in Montreal during the WTA's experiment with on-court coaching.
