	Alien 3 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The third installment in the Alien franchise, it is preceded by Ridley Scott's Alien and James Cameron's Aliens and is followed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Alien: Resurrection.
		According to the Alien Resurrection novelization, and the original sequel Original Sin, Morse wrote a book (later banned) detailing his experiences on Fury 161; it was this work which motivated Annalee Call in her efforts to kill the resurrected Ripley.
		In particular, the alien's insidious parasitic eggs (undetectable until specialized tests reveal them, and leading to certain death) are viewed as the clearest symbol of AIDS.

		Personally, I thought ALIEN 3 was neither as bad as most said, but admittedly never really did hit the mark.
		But perhaps worst of all, by going "backward" and shelving the multiple aliens and the queen of the first sequel and reverting to the singular threat of the first film, a great deal of tension is lost, and let's face it, we've seen all this before.
		Alien 3 has a strong transfer, a bit better compared with the first two discs in the set.

		Alien 3 just wasn't as bad as I remembered it to be from that one time viewing in the theater so many years ago and in fact, stylistically, it's a movie that was ahead of its time.
		The practical Alien effects are excellent, but during the last 30 minutes, there are many shots of the Alien in digitized form, and they look really fake and cheesy, and they really start to ruin the mood of the story.

		Plot Outline: Ripley continues to be stalked by a savage alien, after her escape pod crashes on a prison planet.
		The basic outline is this- Ripley, after surviving the hazards of the climax of Aliens, winds up on the planet as an outsider through and through.
		The ending is still a little overtly dramatic, but also Weaver's performance is given more clarity; it's not just seeing her with a shaved head that's worth watching the film, she's given some scenes where she out-acts everyone around her, with her strengths of subtlety and patience as an actor.

		Apparently, the alien queen managed to lay an egg on board the Sulaco before she was blasted into space.
		To start off with, we're asked to accept the idea that the alien queen managed to lay a few eggs unnoticed in the scant minutes she was on board the Sulaco.
		And the concept of the alien creature taking on some of the physical characteristics of its host (in this case a dog) was intriguing.
