No-frills airline Virgin Express has filed a complaint with the European Commission against Alitalia for "predatory pricing" on certain routes.
A Virgin Express spokesman said the Brussels-based airline filed the complaint in late May, accusing the Italian carrier of offering fares below cost on routes between Brussels, Milan and Rome.
The complaint was filed with European Competition Commissioner Mario Monti's office, asking him to look into Alitalia's commercial practices, he added.
