		Even though "Alive or Just Breathing" isn't quite as good as Killswitch Engage's third album, it isn't very far removed from that album, either, so I recommend this album to you if you started being a KsE fan when "The End of Heartache" was released.
		On "Alive or Just Breathing," the band effortlessly combines the aggression and tightness of hardcore with the musicianship and melodic sensibility of classic metal pioneers like Iron Maiden.

		The lyrics are very original, with the theme of the album being about humans not living, just breathing, as in track 6 "Just Barely Breathing" where Leach sings "are we alive, or just breathing?"
		I thought this was a good album, even though i'm not really into the whole hardcore/thrash type new American stuff, though i did like the melodic At The Gates type stuff, as bare as it was.
		The Christian aspect made me puke but I just paid no attention to the lyrics even though there was some good postive stuff on there against discrimination etc. But better than joey??
