  All Australian Team - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The All-Australian Team is an all star team of Australian rules footballers, selected by a panel at the end of each season.
In 1953, immediately after the Australian Football Carnival, which was held in Brisbane on that occasion, an official All-Australian team was selected by representatives from the state and territorial teams.
Since 1999, the All-Australian coach is the coach of the premiership-winning side that year.

Selecting the team was a lot easier this year with almost every player in their position clearly more popular than their nearest rival.

A VFL interstate representative in 1949, he was a reserve in Essendon's 1946 premiership team, and was on a wing when the Dons overcame North Melbourne in the grand final of 1950.
