		The next release was the "A Fire Inside" EP, which was the first EP they ever released.
		In 2003, the band's first major label release, "Sing the Sorrow", came out, getting great record sales, but losing many of the older fans, whom considered the album to be somewhat corporate, and lacking in the older hardcore punk sound of their previous releases.

		AFI is awesome..a lot of people bash this EP but I think it's great.

		Black Sails represents the darker, gloomier albums that include the All Hallows EP and Art of Drowning.
		This six song EP is a great introduction to the sound of the Ataris.
		This ep is very good, and I guess that I am excited to hear their upcoming cd.

		Based off of JUST material and songs I would say All Hallows EP is the most solid, though.
		In general, I think songs that are released on EPs and Splits tend to wind up stronger than those on albums, because the bands only have to concentrate on 10 - 15 songs and weed down to the best 3 - 7, rather than 25 - 50 to get the best 12 - 20.
		On EPs you rarely get filler songs, which is one of the good things about them.

		So, for a while, I made fun of all the high school freshmen who wore AFI shirts and eyeliner.
		After a while, out of curiousity, I bought this inexpensive EP, with hopes of finding more pop songs like "Girl's not grey", so I could make fun of them some more.
		This EP contains some of the best hardcore punk music of all time.

		"A Fire Inside EP" - I think this is about the time that AFI decided to change the name from meaning "Asking for It" to "A Fire Inside." But, that is not really KNOWN if they were, at one time, called "Asking for It." Anyway...
		"All Hallows EP" - This was the other AFI CD that I bought off of my brother for $3.
		(about.75 cents a song, heh) I personally love this EP because it's all one big dedication to the mother of all holidays...

		I wouldn’t say this about any other AFI album, but All Hallows EP might just be the record that brings these two sides together, and provides an excellent (and cheap) opportunity for new listeners to get into this band.
		The four songs enclosed are by far the best stuff I’ve heard from these East Bay hardcore experts, and Havok’s intense wailing is finely tuned to be overwhelmingly powerful without the pitch that makes critics cringe.
		It’s no surprise that two songs from this album have been picked up by the Bay Area’s leading alternative radio station, which should be a testament to the fact that these four songs might just make fans out of those who so vehemently complain about the band.

		I think it never was released because the band thought it was too ‘poppy’, but I like it anyway.
		In 1999 the band had two releases the 'All Hallows EP' and 'Black Sails In The Sunset'.
		The ‘All hallows EP' is a tribute from AFI to Halloween (the holiday, not the band) They put some spooky songs on the CD, including a Misfits cover) and have put ‘Totalimmortal’ and ‘Fall Children’ on this release.

		I usually hate EPs because of the low number of songs and lack of substance, but this is one spanking good EP.
		Of course it would be totally amazing if this was a full length, but AFI have given us more than enough on this disc, I have listened to this on repeat for hours man, hours.
		What a great E.P. The cover of the Misfits Halloween is my favorite song on this cd.

		Than they released the "Black Sails" EP right before their 4'th full lenght CD (1'st with the new band members) titled "Black Sails in the Sunset", in 1999.

		I haven't used the Mesa in the studio since the All Hallows EP.
		I have a Sans Amp bass D.I. that I use on tour, but it hasn't seen the studio since the All Hallows EP.

		With numerous disc's released over the past years like the "All Hallows Eve" Ep and the classic "Art of Drowning," A.F.I. has become one of Warped Tours celebrated guests as well as figureheads to a movement of disenfranchised misfits who fit neither into the "Metal," "Punk," "Goth," stereotypes hard music followers routinely label themselves with.

		The All Hallows EP, as the name suggests, had a Halloween theme, complete with scary sound effects and even a cover of Danzig's "Halloween."

		After the tremendous success of "Black Sails In The Sunset", and the subsequent "All Hallows EP", expectations run rampant concerning the direction the band will offer up in "The Art of Drowning", their 6th release for Nitro.
		As I prepare to embark on "The Art Of Drowning" I am unsure whether to chafe in a sea of leather pants, or sport my AFI hoodie and pledge my allegiance to the shout along core.
		From the looks of the cover, which resembles "All Hallows Eve", with its cartoonish Misfits nature, I was sure my thighs were in for a long summer of leather burn.

		In fact if someone had told me that "All Hallows Eve" is an outtake from a Genesis album circa Foxtrot or Selling England By the Pound, I would have believed them.
		The tracks on Paradise Of Remixes EP are more electronic and experimental resulting in strong improvised Space-Rock that will appeal to fans of Eno, Ron Geesin or of the Berlin School.
		The next two albums were good of their kind, though, but the band reached their musical nadir (yet commercial high point) with "Der Kommisar" from ATF, an obnoxious cover of a song originally done by Austria's much-reviled Falco.
