All-women bands are quite rare, despite the so-called age of equality, they are sometimes not taken as seriously as they should be.
Women fronted bands exist but it's rare to see one made up entirely of women who all play their own instruments.
Some all women bands exist to promote feminist or lesbian politics whilst others have an appeal as an alternative to male rock bands.
