Allan MacInnis (born July 11, 1963 in Inverness County, Nova Scotia, Canada) is a retired professional ice hockey player.
A star defenseman known for the power of his slapshot, Al MacInnis was drafted 15th overall by the Calgary Flames in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft.
One of the few defensemen to record over 1000 career points, MacInnis retired from the NHL on September 9, 2005 after missing almost two seasons due to a combination of injury and the lockout which caused the cancellation of the 2004-05 season.

MacInnis, who last played on October 16, 2003, before an eye injury sent him to the sidelines, is joining forces with 24 fellow players to play in a charity game at Family Arena in St. Louis.
MacInnis will be joined by fellow St. Louis teammates Chris Pronger and Keith Tkachuk, and other NHLPA members confirmed to play include Bill Guerin, Rob Blake, Brett Hull, Sean Burke, Craig Conroy, Dallas Drake, Nelson Emerson, Jeff Finley, Mike Keane, Ian Laperriere, Reed Low, Scott Mellanby, Tyson Nash, Sean O'Donnell, Geoff Sanderson and Mike Sillinger.
MacInnis, who'll turn 42 in July, is certainly no stranger to lending his time and energy to good causes.

Allan Keith McKkinnon was born August 5, 1919 at Creelman, the oldest son of Lauchlin and Helen McKinnon.
Allan also worked at odd jobs, truck driving, school bus driver, and on the United Grain Growers elevator construction crew from 1968 to 1981.
Allan enjoyed cooking the meat for the meals, barbecues, broiled chicken, pork chops, etc. His specialty was the stuffing/dressing for the chicken or turkey.
