Alleyns saw plenty of the ball, but nerves got the better of both sides, and few chances were created.
It was Miller who created the winner for the Parks, as he again chased the ball down the right flank, and beat his man there, just, before crossing in low, for Mackenzie to net his second goal, this time from close range.
From there on, Alleyns’ heads seemed to drop, with Knott and Hamilton able to repel their advances whilst the home side went looking for a fourth.

After a stirring cup run, we were drawn against Alleyns in the quarter-finals of the old boys cup.
Now I wouldn't usually begrudge a first division outfit beating us in the cup, however, after the 47th late tackle on Steve Chudley and general abuse from their rude-boy posse I do feel fairly annoyed.
With about 10 minutes of the first half left, Alleyns broke quickly and scored (I don't actually remember any of this goal once they got the ball in to our half).

Great goal and great start but it didn't last long as a premature lead was lost to a 'two can play that game' counter attack by Alleyns for a piddler to roll past Carty, and I think I may have been on the line as well...
The game was evenly matched until half time with some hard work at the back with Mikey Miller, Uppers and Great Scott holding the fort well, ex-Skip making some magic runs piercing the Alleyn midfield, which in turn led to a cheeky lead before Half time.
