However, the Allotheria still have a champion in Percy Butler, professor emeritus of the University of London, nor was he slow to answer from the barge.
In the mean time, the Allotheria remain the best guess about the relationships involved.
Jenkins' identification of a groove in the jaw for the post-dentary bones confirms the suspicion that the haramyids cannot be mammals.

The precise phylogeny is disputed due to the scantness of evidence in the fossil record.
However, it is thought that the Mammaliaformes were of three major groups: Allotheria, the longest extinct lineage of pre-mammals; Docodonta, including close relatives such as Morganucodonta; and Symmetrodonta, the most basal of modern mammals.
Only one group of cynodonts gave rise to mammaliaformes, and it may be the Probainognathia family, but the branch Allotheria was so different that they may have came from an entirely different group of cynodonts.

On the shoulder girdle of the mammalian subclass Allotheria.
The known chronologic range of Allotheria is long: late Jurassic to early Eocene.
An interclavicle may be referable to the Allotheria, but only with considerable doubt.

Microcosmodontids are small multituberculates (Allotheria, Mammalia) from the Paleocene and latest Cretaceous of North America, previously known only from rare incomplete lower jaws with teeth and from isolated teeth.
First described in 1930, microcosmodontids have usually been considered a subfamily of Eucosmodontidae (suborder Taeniolabidoidea), but fossils collected in Alberta since 1977 and described herein indicate that microcosmodontids are best classified in their own family.

 Palaeos Vertebrates 420.000 Mammaliformes Overview
The Allotheria (multituberculates) are so different from anything else that one can almost imagine their deriviation from an entirely separate line of cynodonts.
Assuming all this -- quite a lot to swallow -- we can envision the Mammaliaformes as made up of three main groups: the Allotheria, the Docodonta and close relatives (e.g.
They outlasted the dinosaurs and are the single longest lived branch of mammaliforms.

There are four "important" (here meaning either alive today or with an abundant fossil record) groups of mammals, all of which possess three middle ear bones (unlike Megazostrodon).
Multituberculates (Allotheria) were so named for the numerous bumpy protrusions on their molar teeth (termed tubercles) that were used to grind their food (indicative of herbivory).
They were small rodent-like herbivores, which (like modern rodents) had a large pair of incisors up front and lacked canine teeth.

Bell provided TDM with money for the server that hosted the website, an invaluable service in and of itself.
However, not only did Bell devote some money to the clan, but he gave time into mapping for the clan as well, helping to create some of the maps along side Allotheria.
As the clan's first Master Architect, Allo showed the EF community that not only did TDM have skills on the servers, but the talent to make the maps to play on.
