This species was previously known as Pultenaea subumbellata.
This is a common erect shrub in peaty heaths.

 Weeds of Blue Mountains Bushland - News
Almaleea incurvata was found in flower along the walk.
The group walked around a number of Hanging Swamps on the journey to Minnehaha Falls.
We encountered many flowering plants including the rare Almaleea incurvata (pictured), Sprengelia incarnata, Epacris pulchella and Grevillea acanthifolia amongst many others.

John started painting in 1988 after a course with Anita Barley at Burnley Horticulture School and continued in 1991 with classes with Jenny Phillips and in 1998 with Anne-Marie Evans.
He only illustrates Australian native plants and has been involved in the writing and illustrating of "Flora of Melbourne" 1991, illustrations for the glossary of "Brachyscomes of Australia" 1995, illustrations of Pultenaeas and Almaleea for the "Flora of Victoria" Vol.
He has an interest in studying native plants and has travelled widely throughout Australia collecting and studying them over 40 years.

Public reserve at southern corner of Armstrong Street and Valley Rd -map sheet 16
This is zoned Rec-OS but should be at least partly zoned EP because it has rare plants, ie Almaleea incurvata.
This park is still recovering from the damage caused by the road contractor under the Urban Runoff Control Program about 3 years ago, and should be assessed by Council in the light of this.
