		Almer embraces township 13 north, of range 9 east, and is bounded north by Columbia, east by Ellington, south by Indian Fields, and west by Fair Grove and Akron.
		In 1859 the question as to whether the library should be continued a township library or made a district library was submitted to a vote at the annual election, and decided in favor of the latter by a vote of thirty-nine to four.
