Aloguinsan is a 5th class municipality in Cebu, Philippines.
Aloguinsan used to be a part of the town of Pinamungahan until it separated as an independent town some time in the 19th century.
The town must have been populated early because of the presence of a Spanish fort located on a hill which serves as a protection against Moro raids which were frequent in Cebu from the 16th to the 19th centuries.
