		Copying the name Alpheus Starkey Williams from the base of the statue, I went to the Detroit Public Library.
		This was a collection of his letters which appeared in 1959 under the name of "From The Cannon's Mouth; the Civil War Letters of Alpheus Starkey Williams"*.
		This statue of Alpheus Williams was unveiled in 1921 and stands on Belle Isle Park which is located in the Detroit River between Detroit and Windsor, Ontario.
