Leipziger Land is a district in Saxony, Germany.
It is bounded by (from the north and clockwise) the districts of Delitzsch, the district-free city Leipzig, Muldentalkreis, Mittweida, the district Altenburger Land in Thuringia, and the districts Burgenlandkreis, Weißenfels and Merseburg-Querfurt in Saxony-Anhalt.
The history of the region is influenced by the city of Leipzig.

Altenburg andd Chemnitz as Imperial towns were intended to reduce the importance of Leipzig held by the Margrave of Meißen.
