		Unfortunately the 'Alternative 3' scenario, as Jim Keith points out in the very first chapter of his Casebook on Alternative 3, is easily debunked: the British TV documentary is only a spoof and neither it nor the subsequent book by Ambrose and Watkins have a leg to stand on.
		Everything about 'Alternative 3' can be dismissed: the phony interviews with phony astronauts and scientists, the bald assertions of 'facts', the 'secret transcripts' of submarine conversations between Russian and American conspirators, the bogus videotape of a secret NASA landing on Mars.
		And what Alternative 3 is -- although Keith doesn't say it in so many words -- is practically a paradigm of applied conspiracy theory, or a model, if you prefer.

		On June, 20, 1977, Anglia TV has shown a film entitled "Alternative 3", in which was presented that the atmosphere of our planet will quickly deteriorate and that the "elite" of our world already has an "alternative" which is to emigrate on Mars.
		But in March 2006, I learned directly that there is a real David Ambrose behind Alternative 3, who is not Leslie Watkins who was a journalist hired with the approval of David Ambrose to novelise his original script for this show, in which Ambrose owns the total copyright.
		As for "Alternative 3," every one or two years, someone somewhere in my country opens the debate again, seemingly stunned at "that convincing looking video," and most of the newcomers to this "debate" wonder if it is true that the US landed on Mars in 1962...
