		Alveston is a village about a mile south of Thornbury, South Gloucestershire, England.
		Alveston is the gateway to the first Severn Bridge from the A38 and Thornbury.
		Marlwood School is a mixed comprehensive which serves Alveston and the surrounding area.

	Macdonald Alveston Manor, Stratford-upon-Avon - History
		The Monks Walk also dates from this period and it is said that the front lawn is the same width as the nave of Worcester Cathedral, while the gardens themselves cover the same area of ground as the Cathedral.
		Alveston Manor was first mentioned in the Doomsday Book and in 1086 it was seized from Wultan, Bishop of Worcester, but was bought back in 1090 for £15.
		The first performance of “A midsummer Night’s Dream” is said to have been given on the Cedar Lawn and in fact the original stage directions relate to the garden as it was before it was altered at the beginning of this century.

		Alveston is a sleepy little village nestled in a curve of the River Avon in South Warwickshire.
		As part of their Millennium Celebrations, the Alveston Village Association decided to commemorate the villages and the people who have made them what they are by producing a book.
		The hope is that while researching the book, the people who once lived and worked in Tiddington and Alveston will come to life for the new inhabitants, and for the children who live there today.

		A tiny entrance to a cave in the village of Alveston, Gloucestershire, leads to a grisly archaeological discovery.
		As the finds began to emerge at Alveston, so the theories of the Team's experts began to take shape – theories that led to the conclusion that these people from around two millennia ago had indeed met sudden deaths and had indeed then been butchered and eaten.
		With radiocarbon dating of the bones from the cave suggesting that they were all buried around 2,000 years ago, at the very end of the Iron Age or beginning of the Roman occupation, Time Team was looking at evidence for the most recent case of cannibalism yet found in Britain by archaeologists.
