		You can see there 25 000 written exhibits and 300 pieces of technical equipment, for example Austrian and Prussian fire engines from the beginning of XX century, English motor pomp, fire trucks: Fiat from 1936 and Mercedes from 1920.
		Alwernia is built around square market place shadowed with old oaks.
		Especially Bernardian church, situated in old linden forest, with its baroque, rococo and classicists furniture is very picturesque.

		The preserved arrangement of Alwernia was founded in 18th c.
		In the town centre there is a big, rectangular building with brick St.Florian's chapel from 1860.
		The buildings had ridges arranged in carcass construction with a gable shingled roof and eaves projecting from the facade.

		was from Alwernia, Poland which is directly in a line between Krakow and Michalkovice.
		And since Alwernia is just west of Krakow I am certain that the family would have traveled there many times in the late 1800's so there may be some clues there.

		The most well-known monuments of Alwernia are The Baroque monastery and church of the Bernadite Brothers with its characteristic tower, which rises scenically above the hill of Alwernia, and which has become the symbol of the town.
		Inside one can see an altar stone come from The Wawel Cathedral and moved here at the turn 19th – 20th century.
