I live a couple of stations away from Amagasaki, and should've been on my way to a meeting this morning that was fortunately cancelled last night.
I live near by Suminodo, several stations far from Amagasaki on the way to Doshishamae where the train was heading for.
The JR line bound for Amagasaki was closed for the day; commuters were directed to use the Hankyu Line going in that direction instead - on my way to Kyoto this evening I noticed that passengers were allowed to use their JR commuter train passes to reach home.
