	2000 NAC 122 Utah Transit Authority and Amalgamated Transit Union Local 382
		The Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 382 (the Union) and the Utah Transit Authority (the Employer) are parties to a collective bargaining agreement that provides that premium pay at one-half the regular rate be paid to regular operators for work performed in excess of a twelve and one-half hour spread of time during a day.
		The Union had the burden to prove by a preponderance of the evidence that its interpretation of the language in the collective bargaining agreement is the correct one.
		Contrary to the Union’s position stated in its post hearing brief, the transcript of the excerpt of the tape recorded at the July 10th meeting was not new evidence subsequently discovered and its admission into evidence did not violate Article 13 of the collective bargaining agreement.

	Denver transit system board OKs contract - Boston.com
		Union members thank Amalgamated Transit Union 1001 President Yvetta Salazar, center, with her son Jason in Denver, after the union ratified a contract Friday, April 7, 2006, with the mass transit system's operator Friday, setting the stage to end the Denver area's first transit strike in 24 years.
		The Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1001 approved it Friday with an 82 percent majority.
		Union members walked off the job Monday after rejecting a proposal that offered a wage hike of $1.80 an hour over three years in 15-cent raises every quarter, plus increases in health benefits contributions.
