		Amber's third album was released in early 2002 and displayed a more stripped-down and honest Amber.
		In late 2004, Amber released a fourth studio album, "My Kind of World", her first release on her own label, JMCA Enterprises, and the first of her albums stylistically to break free of her dance classification (although many of its songs have been, or are going to be, released in remixes for the dance floor).

		The album was going for £8.99, the cover didn’t exactly blow me away and entice me to it, but reading the description on the blurb accompanying the display did.
		So I purchased the album, listened to it that night and really liked it from the off, not sure what in particular it was about it that did it for me but the music just hit the spot.
		I’m not suggesting that the album was a classic, but it contained enough within it for me to always keep an eye on what they are up to, which in the time between then and now has been plenty, I’ll bring you quickly up to speed.

		Amber followed its success up with an album of the same name, which was a European hit but did not fare successfully in America, where dance musicians' singles are usually far more commercially successful than their entire albums.

		It's been a long wait for this album as its predecessor, Cedars, was released in 2003 and Amber has therefore been a long time in the making.
		Amber is the quiet centre of the album, after which the songs build towards the epic Widescreen and the joyous Getting Light Outside – an uplifting end to a varied album that includes graunchy guitar, superb vocal harmonies, country(-ish) death songs and STILL comes across as a coherent piece of work.
