  The Ambitous Card
Now by applying pressure on the bottom card with your left third and ring fingers seize the bottom half of the deck except the bottom card with your right and then shuffle them off on top of the deck.
Give some excuse like: "Maybe the ambitious card is a bit out of shape and is not feeling so well right now." Then finally add that you will try one last time reminding the spectator to watch carefully.
The middle and ring fingers, slightly bent, rest against the face of the bottom card; the little finger curls inwards so that its side rests against the inner end and the thumb rests on the top card, its tip near the middle of the outer end.

Vernon performed a version of a trick called Ambitious card for Houdini seven times, and Houdini could not figure out how it had been done.

Also, it is necessary to bend another indifferent card in order to repeat the stunt, and by virtue of the fact that the selection card is already bent, there is no excuse for bending another indifferent.
Anyway, the spectator's card is insterted in to the deck at a 90 degree angle, outjogged for 3/4 of it's length, face up with signature in view, about two or three cards from the bottom of the deck.

Ammar certainly does not cover the ambitious card routine to the depth that Daryl's video does, so if depth is your criteria, you should probably buy Daryl's video.
If it really is just Ambitious Card you're after, perhaps Daryl's 'Ambitous Card Omnibus' would be the way to go.

As for practicality, not too many spectators are going to want to watch an ambitious card routine that long, but it made for a great video.
I liked the use of the card spin to apparently effect the change, that was a nice artistic touch, and I like the way you execute your card spins in general, letting the spin gradually die off rather than suddenly stopping it, in my mind it seems more attractive and graceful that way.

This as an amazing card to pocket routine, which fools every one every time.

If you are new to card magic I'd recommend picking up The Royal Road to Card Magic to learn the basic maneuvers.
How do you do that little card twirling thing......I hate being a bother but that is the one of the few little things I have no idea on how to do.
