		And while the band has learned the lessons of the music well from their predecessors in Europe and Asia (where this genre seems to be more alive), they need to add one more thing to the mix before they're ready to strike: some level of originality.
		Amduscias needs to find their own unique niche in an already-crowded genre to stand out.
		Until then, Amduscias is an album that shows a young band trying to find their foothold, and not doing anything spectacular to draw attention to themselves.

		Amduscias is the name of the fifth CD released by the experimental label Zenflesh and that, once again means a walk through the riskiest of proposals in sonic research.
		In the album, with 21 themes, a great amount of saturated sounds is reflected, even with melodies, capable of creating disturbing environments.
		Also, two of the themes that could be taken as non-experimental ones turn out to be really impressive: "Drowing" and "Antichton", whose presence in the equator of the work breaks in some instants with its experimental homogeneity.

		Sure, "emotion" may sound like a namby-pamby term in the context of, arguably, the most extreme form of music, but at the end of the day, something more is needed to extend such fare beyond mere blastbeats, fuzz, and screams.
		One such record that accomplishes that is Amduscias' eponymous debut.
		Clocking in at almost a half-hour, Amduscias 's six songs ensnare the soul in a grimy, fl cloud, the Japanese trio thoroughly mesmerizing with cyclic tremeloed riffs and tornado tempos, both of which tinker with the trance by shifting oh-so-subtly.

		Metal Blade seems to have the exclusive distribution rights to all of the Blackend stuff in the states, which is fortunate for us, even if we do end up getting these albums a couple years after their initial release.
		Well, for some albums, Amduscias being one of them, the sound can seem a tad dated, this E.P. sounding like standard norse fl metal circa '97.
		Yeah, that's only couple of years, but as metal styles shift so rapidly, to stay on the cutting edge, especially insomething as volatile as fl metal, things have to sound fresh.

		The bass is pretty much completely buried in the mix throughout the first track, "The Dragon Domination," and as a result is of little consequence.
		The incessant blasting with little or no regard for the music being laid above it all throughout the opening track gets to be very overbearing.
