Amady Faye - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Faye began his career at French Ligue 1 club AS Monaco FC, and then had spells with ES Frejus and AJ Auxerre.
Due to the injury, Faye was not selected by Senegal for the 2004 African Nations Cup but he made 31 appearances for Pompey in his debut campaign.
The Ballad of Amady Faye is often sang to fuzzy haired knee-capping Scotsman as a lament to their long lost ability in signing top quality players, this talent ever in the past since the signing of Terry Butcher who was found at a Referee door smashing competition.

NUFC Opinion: Newcastle Need Players Like Amdy Faye
By having players like Amdy Faye in the ranks, what a manager has is a player who effectively knows his place, who will work hard on the training pitch, who will toe the line and basically do whatever is told or asked of him without so much as a peep.
While Faye is seen as a weakness when out on the pitch, off it he's very much a strength, and that is why players like the Toon man can be found at most clubs the world over.
Faye works damn hard in training and should look forward to playing, not dread it because he's not rated or wanted out on the stands.
