Amelia Bones was killed (HBP ch 1), probably by the Dark Lord himself, less than a year prior to Dumbledore's and Harry's visit to the cave.
Amelia Bones is dead as the note said she would be but I'm still sticking with it being Regulas Black.
Bones can't be R.A.B. From the looks of it, she and Eileen Prince could have the same age, in which case, they would have been at Hogwarts together (and at roughly the same time at the man who was to become LV).

Not much to do with Susan Bones, but the book/ film names...my chemistry teacher said it was because a legend of something known as the philosopher's stone does actually exist, but it was always known as the sorcerer's stone in america, so JK changed the name in keeping with the legend.
About the girl playing Susan Bones appearing in different houses when she was sorted into Huffle Puff: She WAS the director's daughter, and they needed extras.
Although Susan Bones IS mentioned in the books and is sorted into Hufflepuff in Harry's year, I don't recall her being mentioned in books two, three, or four, and the name Susan Bones only appears once in Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone, so don't freak out just because they couldn't have read Order of the Phoenix yet.

The bones were sent to British headquarters in Tarawa, where a physician concluded they belonged to a man. The bones were ordered crated for storage, but the crate vanished.
The Fiji Museum said there are records of two wooden boxes arriving in about 1940 and possibly containing the bones of the missing fliers.
