	The American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin, Inc. (ACLU/WI)
		African Americans comprise 39% of the disfranchised population, even though they comprise only 5% of the voting age population.The inequities in Wisconsin’s justice system compared to the rest of the nation are just beginning to be studied with no solutions on the table.
		Although we are disheartened by the electoral result of the discriminatory constitutional amendment to ban civil unions and marriage and to reinstate the death penalty, we will continue the fight for equal protection and justice in Wisconsin.
