		The gladiator then flies backwards off the screen, accompanied by a sound effect that sounds like an elderly man screaming while being kicked in the groin with a steel-toed boot and having all his nose hair ripped out, only it's significantly more shrill and annoying and it's sampled at 0.2 Khz.
		Every time a gladiator falls the game plays that same annoying exaggerated screaming-in-agony effect, only you won't notice because by the third or fourth opponent you'll be perfectly duplicating that sound effect at the top of your lungs.
		There are gladiators running around the field, and if you so much as touch one of them you drop the ball, since apparently your guy is a big wuss.

		American Gladiators was an hour long game show, featuring 4 contestants (2 men, 2 women) competing directly against each other for points.
		Of course, this usually meant that the Gladiators coughed up a bunch of points in that event, but at least it was fun to see one of the contestants get their block knocked off in the process.
		Ice was one of the more prominent female Gladiators, but I still maintain that her biggest claim to fame was that she looked like a man. Seriously, if Malibu and Ice had been on the show at the same time, it probably would have been hard to determine who was who.

		Each event in the game seems to try and follow the stage/plotting of the ones that occurred on television to the best of it's ability.
		I think the game play pretty much covers why it's only possible to go through it maybe 2-3 times in order to maybe beat all the events in order for some kind of satisfaction.
		Anyway, if you see this game at a flea market, Gamestop, or some other sort of used video game store just completely avoid it at all costs.

		ok, some of you may have already seen this video of an online video-game show, called "face-off", that i was on back in november 2004.
		it was a gameshow that had a contestant come on and play 3 games against their "gladiators", supposedly video game "experts" (more on that later).
